Shona Kinloch's humorous but enigmatic Thinking of Bella was commissioned as part of a water feature in the courtyard of Page & Park's Italian Centre in 1994. A name that never fails to raise a smile, Bella is the particularly 'Glasgow' familiar form of Isabel, and is usually prefixed with the inquisitive or commanding, Heh! However, the identity of the particular maiden referred to in Kinloch's characteristic work remains a subject of constant contemplation.
