Glasgow - City of Sculpture

Michael Dan Archer
(b. 1955)

Born in Glasgow, he studied sculpture in Coventry and later moved to Japan.

Since returning to Britain he has executed sculpture for Derby University (1996), Cardiff (1999) and Ashridge (2000), and has exhibited work internationally.

He currently teaches at Loughborough College of Art and Design, and recently worked in Glasgow with Castlemilk Women's Group on a 'Gateways and Landmarks' sculpture at the junction of Croftfoot Road and Fernhill Road, Castlemilk (2000).
